The free plan covers the core features — connect your Tesla, monitor your energy data, and run one scheduled automation plus one Battery Threshold rule with basic settings.
What’s included:
- Full access to the Live Dashboard
- Real-time power flow visualization
- Energy charts (all time ranges)
- One active Custom Schedule automation. If you pick a cost goal in Smart Automations, setup spends that one automation on Battery at peak start, which switches your Powerwall to Self-Powered 2 minutes before your first peak.
- One Battery Threshold rule (single time window, every day and month, no Hold Charge)
- Activity log (automation history, notifications)
- In-app and push notifications
- Dark mode and command palette
One thing to know: after two weeks without opening the app on any device, a free account’s detailed battery-history collection backs off — paused if nothing depends on it, hourly if a Battery Protection rule or battery alert is running so that keeps working. Opening the app on web, iOS or Android restarts full collection immediately.

Scheduled
Section titled “Scheduled”Scheduled is for anyone who wants to automate their energy strategy more deeply — multiple time-based rules, peak time protection, and data export for your own analysis.

- Peak Time automations — set battery reserve during your utility’s peak hours
- Unlimited Battery Threshold automations with every setting — Hold Charge, multiple time windows, custom days and months
- Data export — download your full energy history as CSV or JSON
- History collection that never backs off, whether or not you open the app

Adaptive
Section titled “Adaptive”Adaptive is for customers whose utility bills include demand charges — a fee based on your peak power draw during a billing period. One demand spike can cost you for the entire month. Adaptive includes DemandGuard, the automation that prevents it.
Everything in Scheduled, plus:
- DemandGuard automations — real-time monitoring and automatic battery discharge during demand periods
- Pre-Peak Charge — tops up your battery before the peak window starts
- Demand decision log — a complete record of every DemandGuard action

Free trial
Section titled “Free trial”New paid subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You won’t be charged until the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you’re not charged.
Subscription scope
Section titled “Subscription scope”Your subscription applies to your entire Grid Getter account. If you have multiple Tesla sites connected to one account, all sites benefit from your subscription tier.
