Managing Your Subscription

Go to Settings → Billing to see:

  • Your current subscription tier (Free, Premium, DemandGuard)
  • Your billing period (monthly or yearly)
  • Your next renewal date and amount
  • Your payment method

  1. Open Settings → Billing or the Subscription page

  2. Pick the tier you want

  3. Choose Monthly or Yearly

  4. Click Select Plan

  5. Finish checkout through Stripe

  6. New features unlock as soon as payment goes through

New subscriptions come with a 7-day free trial. You won’t be charged until it ends.

Already on Premium? You can add DemandGuard from Settings without going back through checkout.

  1. Open Settings → Billing

  2. Click Upgrade to DemandGuard

  3. The change takes effect right away. Your trial date stays the same, and your next bill reflects the new tier.

  1. Open the Subscription page

  2. Select Free as your tier

  3. Review what you’ll lose, then check the confirmation box

  4. Click Downgrade to Free

When you downgrade to Free:

  • You keep paid features through the end of your current billing period (or trial)
  • No further charges. Downgrade during your trial and you won’t be billed at all.
  • Once the period ends, your access drops to Free
  • Automations that need the higher tier turn off. They aren’t deleted, and they’ll switch back on if you upgrade again.

While the downgrade is pending, you’ll see a Cancellation pending banner on the Billing and Subscription pages. You can resume your subscription any time before it takes effect.

To drop DemandGuard but stay on Premium, open the Stripe billing portal from Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription and switch tiers there.

Cancelling works the same way as downgrading to Free — follow those steps. Your access runs through the end of the current billing period, and your data, automations, and settings stick around.

Need to cancel immediately instead of at period end? Use the Stripe billing portal: Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel subscription. Partial refunds depend on your billing period, and Stripe handles those per their policy.

Changed your mind? As long as your subscription hasn’t ended yet, you can bring it back in one click.

  1. Open Settings → Billing or the Subscription page

  2. Find the Cancellation pending banner

  3. Click Resume Subscription

The cancellation reverses, your next bill is restored, and any paused automations stay active. If you were on a trial, it keeps running to its original end date.

Managing through the App Store or Google Play

Section titled “Managing through the App Store or Google Play”

If you subscribed through the iOS App Store or Google Play, you must manage your subscription through Apple or Google — not through Grid Getter. The in-app upgrade, downgrade, and resume controls are only available for subscriptions billed through Stripe (the web). If you try to downgrade in-app while subscribed through Apple or Google, Grid Getter will point you to the right place.

iOS (App Store):

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Grid Getter and tap it to manage

Android (Google Play):

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  4. Find Grid Getter and tap Manage

If a payment fails:

  1. You’ll receive an email notification
  2. Stripe automatically retries the charge over several days
  3. Go to Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription to update your payment method

Access is maintained during the retry period. If the payment ultimately fails, your subscription is paused and access reverts to Free.

Refund requests are handled case-by-case. Email support@gridgetter.com with your account email and a brief explanation. We process refund requests within 2 business days.

App Store and Google Play purchases must be refunded through Apple or Google — we don’t have access to those transactions.

Stripe automatically emails a receipt after each successful payment. You can also download invoices from the Stripe billing portal (Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription).

If a friend subscribed using your referral code, you may have credit applied to an upcoming billing cycle. See Referral Program for details.
